Quality of Water Required for Steam Generation
Required specifications of water for steam generation are known
as quality of water.
In the normal water has dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide,
other gas, impurities and other metal ion such as Ca,Mg ions. According to
dissolved oxygen may be occur and help to grow ionic bacteria and enhance
pipeline oxides and it will start to damage pipeline. Therefore we must remove this
dissolved oxygen of water before feed to steam.
Another type of impurities also should be removed. Because
small barriers may be occur. And also each metal ion also should be removed
before feed steam. Metal ions and oxygen react, and make oxides.
Sometimes this oxide make barriers .So oxide further react
with CO2
This type of carbonate may be accumulating on the pipeline.
