Action of detergent during soiled garment washing process
Detergents are chemical substances which are help to
reduce surface tension of water. And also detergent molecule has hydrophilic
head and hydrophobic tail. Its chemical structure can be denoted as C17H35COO-Na+. This hydrophilic head attract water molecules and
hydrophobic tail does not like to water, hence that tail connects with dirt
part. There is several detergent molecules connect with dirt part and this
complex called micelle. After, micelles remove from fabric and mix with water.
After washing these micelles are removed with water. And can be obtained clean
fabric. Detergents can be further classified according to different
action when removing impurities.
