Factors which Influence on the Evenness of Yarn
Factors which Influence on the Evenness of Yarn
Evenness of yarn can be explained as surface regularity of yarn.
This topic is very important because if yarn has surface irregularity its
affect to reduce strength of yarn. So thin places of yarn will not face to high
strength and yarn will break. Next point is dyeability there are different
absorbency have thin and thick places. After dyeing surface may be occurring
colour drops on the surface of fabric. To proper manage yarn evenness need to
be used and handle factors which influence on the evenness of a yarn.
·
Raw material properties
– Some time supplier give immaturity
cotton harvest and these are not suitable to produce yarn. Because yarn
strength will low. Another point can be denoted as impurities of cotton harvest,
so that is difficult to yarn parallel arrange.
·
Mechanically defective
machinery – If machine is damaged cannot
be proper parallel arrange each fibers. For example can be taken carding
process, if machine damaged difficult to remove impurities, straighten and
parallel fibers. Then we cannot get even fibers.
·
External reasons – We can identify as external factors work problems, less
cleanness and plant conditioning such as incorrect humidity, temperature,
lighting, static, etc. To eliminate these problems we can train the worker,
keep work place cleanly and launch proper air conditioning to eliminate
humidity, temperature, static, etc.
And also we must proper control following each process to obtain regularity
yarn.
-
Compressing process of
harvest as bales – in the compressing
process must be placed matured harvest only and should be removed seed parts
etc.
-
Carding process – In the carding process start to remove impurities and start to
fibers paralally arrange.
- Drawing frame process – In the draw frame process launch fibers doubling and drafting
using rollers. It is very important increase evenness of sliver.
- Combing process – This is an optional process which is help to increase evenness
of sliver.
-
Rowing frame process – sliver further thinning down using different velocity based
roller, and help to keep regularity of sliver
-
Ring spinning process – Apply twist and help to increase strength of yarn and also help
to keep permanently evenness of yarn according to the fiber cohesion.
