Objective

To determine behavior of seam when apply perpendicular force. In this practical test we hope to find seam opening under higher force and that is called seam open or slippage.

Equipment & Materials

Weft faced and warp faced fabric samples with applied plain seam

Principle

Create plain seam using sewing machine each warp and weft faced samples. After, apply one direction Newton force using tensile tester until open the seam as 6 mm hole or gap.
