By using nx^n-1 we can easily find first and second derivatives. And I can explain and give suitable solutions by below examples.

Example: 01

= 3x³ + 2

Using nx^n-1

= 3*3x^3-1 + 1*2^1-1

1^st derivative is 9x²

Now we can use again to obtain 2^nd derivative using nx^n-1

= 9x²

= 2*9x^2-1

2^nd derivative is 18x

Example: 02

Y= 3x³- 5x²

=3*3x^3-1- 2*5x^2-1

1^st derivative is 9x²-10x

Now we can find second derivative as below,

=9x² - 10x

= 2*9x^2-1 – 1*10x^1-1

2^nd derivative is 18x -10

Example: 03

Y=x³-3x²

= 3*x^3-1 -3*2^2-1

First derivative = 3x²-6x

= 2*3x^2-1 -6x^1-1

Second derivative =6x-6

Another method:

Y= 2x² + 5

dy/dx = d(2x²+5)/dx

d²y/dx² = d(4x)/dx

d²y/dx² = 4

Using I above told method again can be calculated

Y= 2x² + 5

= 2*2x^2-1 + 5^1-1

1^st derivative = 4x

Using  nx^n-1 again,

= 1*4x^1-1

2^nd derivative = 4
